![]() While Far Cry 5 could have done a better job leading up the blast, it does follow through with the core theme of the story. It's a bold message to package in a AAA game, and it feels similar to the one found in the acclaimed Spec-Ops: The Line. It appears the nuclear conflict is inevitable regardless of the player's choices too, meaning their actions throughout are rendered pointless. The ending suggests a lot of death could have been avoided if The Rookie had just backed down. Another issue is that the game - which features shooting and violence as a central mechanic - essentially appears to be judging gamers for playing it that way. That said, Far Cry 5 teases this ending throughout, from Seed's many doomsday speeches to radio reports about tensions between America and North Korea. Roshan, the Izila chieftain, gifts the tribe with the secrets of Agriculture and, with inusual optimism, affirms that there can be peace beetween the Wenja and the Izila.Part of what made fans and reviewers angry with the ending is that it feels like a shock twist for the sake one. Primal also ended on High Note: Takkar honors Ull`s Dying Wish and adopt hsi children and even if the Udam die off because of their sickness, they will live on, on the Wenja. Most important of all, you can honor your promise to Ishwari and laid her tor est alongside Lakshmana ![]() Therefore you can overthrow him, you can save Bhadra, and then(if you think is for teh best) decapitate the Golden Paths`s leadership to allow mdoerates(or possibly Bhadra) to take over. I will insist that that FC 3 had an Ending that concluded the game on High note(You saved your friends and realized you are better than that)įC4 Ending was bittersweet: Despite how much symphaty Paga Min`s receives that doesnt change teh fact he is an unhinged tyrant who doesnt care anymore. I'm kind of resigned to it being just part of the series. Hell, if you played 3 and 4, the notion that nobody really walks away from these games happy or better off should be old hat by now. This one probably had the darkest endings since 2. ![]() It's notable that in the games where there's a hidden "walk away at the very beginning and avoid the entire game" option, that's explicitly the best outcome. Originally posted by Illudium:The FC franchise has always been prone to really nihilistic "what was even the point of everything I did" endings. Just because you can choose what you look like doesn’t make it a RPG So unless your personal goal was to be bu tt-buddies with Joseph Seed in the aftermath which I seriously doubt it was, then, no, sorry, the story writers of this game got extraordinarily lazy and failed on many levels.ĭude, the games not a RPG, it’s a FPS with choices. As a player, we are an active participant in the story. This isn't some book or movie were we are a passive observer. ![]() I don't know about the walk away one, but in the resist one, I shot the guy straight between the eyes with my cal.50, and yet while we are off racing against time at top speed to get to the bunker, he magically resurrects himself, walks to the bunker and beats us there to survive the blast.Īlso, the "everything did is pointless" sentiment is a valid one. Just being different doesn't necessarily make something better.Īnd putting aside the "good" and the "bad" monikers, the ending(s) were just plain stupid.
